How long does it take to get use to Acuvue Oasis contacts?
I've used a generic brand called "Soft Lens" for a little over four years, and after switching solutions and rewetting drops multiple times--I decided its time to switch contacts. I have way too much issues with dry eyes, so I figured I'd try Acuvue Oasis for Astigmatism. This is my first day wearing my trial pair, and they've been in for about an hour. I know I naturally have to adjust, but it just seems as if my peripheral vision is a bit blurry. I also can feel the contacts around my eyes. I know they are a little bigger than my last contacts, so it might just be that my eyes aren't use to the bigger contacts. Also, my vision is a little blurry. One thing that I find rather weird is that it feels like the contacts are a bit dry, but I don't have the haze, and discomfort like I would if my regular contacts were dried out.
So, to those that switched to Acuvue, did you experience any of these symptoms? If so, how long did it take for you to get use to it? Gracias!
I too have begin using these contacts for 5 months now(for astigmatism as well) and have the same problems...I've only had 1 month so far that was 'okay', which is weird. Perhaps they are not made very well. I am constantly blurry, and they never sit right on my eyes ever(most likely the reason for the constant blurriness). I can't wait till I use up the last pair. I refuse to buy these ever again. I am happy to know that I am not alone with these issues.
