please help...making makeup last longer?.?
just started out with makeup, and I'm really happy with how it looks, but it doesn't seem to last very long and I don't want to have to cake it on so that when one layer wears off there's another underneath! Can't afford to buy new makeup either - I use Maybelline Crayon Oriental Black Eyelinger, No7 Intense Volume or No& Lash 360 and Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation.
Other than buying new makeup, is there anything I can do to make my makeup last longer?

You can apply a good facial moisturizer on your clean face first (this will sort of act as a primer), apply a thin layer of baby powder over your foundation if you have some handy, that way you won't have to buy another item. In the future if you can, buy a mineral finishing powder or veil, you can apply that over your foundation to set it and make it stay longer. The advantage of owning a mineral finishing powder or veil is that you can carry it with you for touch-ups over the day. Applying a layer of powder over your foundation prevents it from melting away as your skin starts to release sweat/oil.
I don't know what No7 and No& are, but if you're using a black eyeliner and its slipping away over the day, here's the solution: after applying your eyeliner, set it buy applying a little bit of similar colored powdered eyeshadow over it. For example, if you're applying black eyeliner, apply a black or really dark colored (like dark brown or navy blue or grey, whatever you have) over your eyeliner. This will prevent it from melting away as your skin starts to release sweat or oil.
