Are these products too harsh for my skin?
I'm going to say the products and I am going to say the MAIN ingredients. And I am 13 years old, and I always heard that teens need to be careful with their skin regimen because it might damage their skin because of harsh chemicals. I have normal/combination skin (mostly oily then dry. i dont really dry skin except in winter or when i peel from a scrub) and i have moderate/severe skin
IN THE MORNING:
Panoxyl acne foaming wash 10% benzoyl peroxide
Josie Maran Daily Sun Protection Argan Oil infused (i use this as sunscreen and mosturizer)
AT NIGHT:
Clearasil Ultra Overnight Wash 2% salicylic acid, (AND also, on the back where it says the ingrediants, it says Sodium Laureth Sulfate and I heard its a bad chemical for your skin so should I stop using this cleanser?)

and the clearasil daily ultra rapid action pads have 2% salicylic acid in them
Sodium Laureth Sulfate just makes it sudsy if it foams or makes suds then it has Sodium Laureth Sulfate or one of it's derivitives in it.
your 2% solution of salicylic acid, 10% benzoyl peroxide, & your peels & scrubs are what is too harsh for your skin.
pick one and use that. it's too strong for you to use all of them.
here's how you choose:
do you have problems with pimples or blackheads? or is it both?
if it's just pimples then go with the benzoyl peroxide.
if it's blackheads or blackheads and pimples then go with the salicylic acid.
benzoyl peroxide & salicylic acid are chemical exfoliants so there is no reason for you to use a scub or peel.
since you have combo skin, you may want to change your face wash to Cetaphil or a similar product (it doesn't have the Sodium Laureth Sulfate in it if you're going to let that old myth bother you) & get your salicylic acid from a leave on cream (something you won't wash off)---they are usually sold as "pore refiners". brand doesn't matter only that it is a 2% solution.
simplify your skin care routine:
1 wash for morning & night
1 sunblock for day
1 acne med that you can use morning and night or just at night (eventually you will build up to where you will only be using it a few times a week instead of every day--you'll know it's time to adjust your routine when your skin starts drying out again.)
1 moisturizer that you can use as needed
