To some women removing makeup is just as important as how you put it on. Whatever your makeup removal routine is made up of you need to consider what you are putting your eyes through. Are you putting unneeded pressure on or around your eyes? Is the skin around your eyes irritated? What sort of products do you use for eye makeup removal? One CHEAP and available product out there for gentle AND thorough eye makeup removal is baby oil.
Baby oil is the best product to use to remove mascara without having to scrub at your eyes. The great thing about baby oil is that you don't need to wash your whole face if you don't want to, you can just focus on your eye makeup. Baby oil is probably the most natural product out on the market for makeup removal. It doesn't sting if it gets in your eyes as a chemical based product will for sure.
Baby oil is cheap and hypoallergenic which should reduce the chance of irritation to your eyes. Over time using baby oil will keep the skin around your eyes soft and supple and looking good in the years to come, not only because it's moisturizing your skin but because you don't need to scrub at your eyes. Scrubbing at your eye make up to get it off is a huge factor in developing wrinkles later in life. Always remember the less pressure and scrubbing you do to your eyes the better.
Just douse a cotton ball or even just a wad of tissue in baby oil and rub it on your eyes and lashes. You will probably need more cotton balls or tissue as you continue rubbing at your makeup. Using a clean wad of tissue or a cotton ball keep wiping at the baby oil on your eyes. A q-tip works great for getting right down to the lash's roots. After the first initial coverage of baby oil you will probably not need to add more to your eyes, just continue wiping at the make up until it's all off. Although if you feel you are having to apply too much pressure to remove the makeup then add just a bit more baby oil. Usually just getting your finger tips wet and patting them on your eyes before drying will reduce the greasy feeling the oil leaves behind. Baby oil will remove any sort of eyeliner, mascara, or eyeshadow even if it's waterproof.
