What is a good makeup look for the first day of high school?
*i'm 14, and dont like cakey makeup. just fun. i mostly try to look natural but i love fun pops of color.
*i really like MAC, Clinique, Lorac, Stila, Urban Decay, Sugar and Too Faced.
*i dont want to give off a bad or slutty first impression. because i'm not at all.
*i dont want to look fake
*i have a very eclectic style (a mix of old school, preppy, floral-y, vintage. basically urban outfitters + zumiez + hollister)
*i have light brown hair, brown eyes and fair skin.
any tips, ideas or whatever is great!!
thanks so much.
p.s. i am pretty good with makeup, so its not like my first time trying to put it on. i just want to make a good impression.
I'd say go with a matte tinted moisturizer and set it with mineral powder. That'll give you the most natural look for your skin. Plus it's not as heavy or bad for your skin as regular foundation. If you have acne or blemishes use a concealer. It'd be best if you had one in a lighter shade that your skin to hide dark circles and later cover it or set it with powder to even it out. I think a peachy apricot would look best on you. Brown mascara and a tinted lip balm or lipgloss in light pinky rose but try to keep it sheer. A light gold or taupe all over the lid would look nice with it if you want eyeshadow. Also if you want eyeliner I'd go with brown. If you don't need the coverage of foundation don't use it and just use concealer that's what I do and try to keep it simple and don't over do it. From the brands that you listed the things that I'd recommend are...
-MAC Shadestick in Beige-ing or Shimmersand or
Stila Marakesh eyeshadow quad.
-MAC Technakohl in Brownborder
-Stila Sheer Color Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15
-NARS Blush in Amour (Just cause it's matte)
-Stila Lip Glaze in Vanilla or Clinique Long Last Glosswear in Tenderheart or Sunset
-Bare Essentials Mineral Veil
Some tips are...
-Try to use a base or long lasting products so you don't need to re-apply cause then you'll get people thinking that you put alot of make-up on.
-Don't use any products that you don't need.
-Smudge the eyeliner, (which is why I said use a pencil) because it gives you a more natural look.
-If you need to use a matte bronzer or all over face color sparingly all over your face after your your tinted moisturizer and setting it. This will give you a nice warm glow.
-Try to get everything matte so it looks natural.
~Have fun, and good luck!
