Simple and Easy Method to Shape Your Eyebrows - Compare Eyebrow Threading With Waxing - Helpful Eyebrow Threading Instructions for Glamorous Looks

Various hair removal techniques are used to get rid of unsightly hair. Threading and waxing are the most common ones which are used to remove unwanted facial hair. When you look at someone, you notice his or her face first and then you notice the eyes. Beautiful eyes can fetch your attention immediately. Well shaped eyebrows are an essential part of a beautiful face. Bushy eyebrows or unshaped eyebrows can easily kill your looks, no matter whatever makeup policies you follow. Men and women, both try to attain well shaped eyebrows by regularly visiting the beauty salons. But you can save a few bucks, if you do it yourself at home. Eyebrow threading is an easy and inexpensive way of grooming your eyebrows. Here are some eyebrow threading instructions.

Eyebrow Threading Instructions

  • For eyebrow threading, you require 100 % cotton thread and a skin toner only.
  • The word threading may sound painful, but eyebrow threading is not at all painful.
  • Cut the cotton thread to get about 24 inch strand and tie both the ends together to form a circle.
  • In both hands, hold the thread in all your fingers and thumbs. Then open your hands so that the circle will be converted into a rectangle in your hands.
  • Now you are expected to twist the thread about 10 times in the middle, so that it appears like a X, with the twisted part in the middle.
  • Initially, you may find it a little bit difficult, but you should practice pushing the twisted portion of the thread to the right by extending the fingers and thumb of your left hand while closing the fingers to the thumb of your right hand. Then try it other way. As you are required to do it both ways, practice pushing the twisted portion to the left by extending the fingers and thumb of your right hand while closing the fingers to the thumb of your left hand. A little bit of practice can make it easy.
  • Keeping in mind which hair should be removed, place the twisted portion of the thread on the skin, just to the side of the hair you want to remove. Now you are supposed to move your hands skillfully. Gently roll the twisted portion along the skin from side to side entwining the unwanted hair, either to the right or to the left whichever way you feel more comfortable, by doing what we learned in the previous steps. Try to capture the hair in the twisted portion and then simply pull. They can thus be quickly lifted from the follicles.
  • It is always safe to start with the hair in between both eyebrows. You can then move on to the top and then to the bottom. You should take care while removing the hair from the bottom line of the eyebrow as this area is the most sensitive area. The eyebrow shapes will depend upon the original natural shape and the overall shape and size of the face. Read more on eyebrow shaping tips.
  • You may cut down the length of some of the hair with a pair of scissors, if there is no need of removing them from the follicles.
  • At the end, do not forget to apply a toner directly on the skin to close the pores, which are left open by the removal of hair from the follicles. This will prevent the skin from drying and will give a soothing effect too.

The above procedure clearly indicates that threading eyebrows is a very simple and easy method to shape your eyebrows. Let us now compare eyebrow threading with waxing.

Eyebrow Threading vs Waxing

  • Eyebrow threading is more precise than waxing and by threading, you get better lines.
  • Eyebrow threading technique is rather inexpensive than waxing.
  • Waxing is more time consuming than threading.
  • Waxing can be more messy than threading.
  • Eyebrow threading is a good choice as no harmful products are used. Threading is a natural way for easy hair removal.
  • During waxing, the top layers of skin can be peeled or traumatized in the process while threading is always gentler on the skin.
  • Side effects of waxing like irritation, loss of suppleness can be observed after waxing. There are no side effects of eyebrow threading.
  • If you don't know how to wax eyebrows, the process can be quite painful. Eyebrow threading is almost painless procedure.

The above points regarding eyebrow threading vs. waxing need not be taken into consideration, if you get your eyebrows done by an experienced professional. He or she will take utmost care while waxing or threading. No wonder women are interested in eyebrow threading, it's true that even without any makeup, nicely-shaped eyebrows can give you a glamorous look. It's so common now, that no one raises his eyebrows on hearing about 'eyebrow threading'.
