My makeup always looks terrible. Help?
Okay, so I'm still not sure of the cause, (my skin isn't dry or extremely oily), but whenever I wear foundation/powder, it always makes my face look cakey and powdery during the day. I wear primer. I've actually tried 3.(Benefit Porefessional, MAC Matte Gel, and Bare Escentuals Prime Time) But it doesn't help what so ever. I've tried different types of foundations and concealers and none of them make my face any less powder/cakey looking. I have moderate acne, but I don't know how it could be doing anything. I don't know what to do. Please give me some tips/help?
i honestly don't wear a lot of face makeup. i put one dot on my forehead, cheeks, nose, and chin and blend it, then use concealer under my eyes and on trouble spots. its honestly not as much as it sounds. it just dries weird and looks powdery.
The cakey look is caused by a variety of reasons. First I would add more water daily to drink this helps hydrate your skin from the inside out then find a good skincare line that really works, I have found this to work for a good 80% of my clients Bee Luscious cucumber scrub, Aloe Toner and the ginseng moisturizer. This is a great start also I would recommend trying to skip the primer as a test some people have the tendency to cake from the primer. Then I love using bee luscious paramedical kamaflage it is a great foundation with just the right amount of moisture to help avoid caking. Then a good powder I love bee luscious mineral collage powder great mixture to even skin tones etc...
