How can I get rid of shine?
I have very oily skin, so I use an oil-free moisturizer and oil-free makeup (including mineral makeup with kaolin clay)...For touch-ups during the day, I use a light loose powder...but I am still oily and shiny and no matter what makeup I use, it seems to go from perfect in the morning to caked on grease paint by mid afternoon. I've been thinking about trying tarte's Little Blot Book that has the blotting sheets/powder combo since I have heard good reviews...Has anyone tried this...or do you have another solution? Thanks.
Blotting sheets are the best. You put way less makeup on your face and prevent breakouts from piling on the powder. I've used the Neutrogena blotting papers, Body Shop blotting papers (which come pre-powdered or not), Shiseido blotting papers and the Tarte book.
My favorite was the Shiseido papers, which are razor thin, not powdered (the ones in the blue envelope) and seemed to take the most grease off my skin. You can get them at any department store with a Shisedo counter.
