how can i get a good natural look with my make-up?
im 14 and ive learned that i cant do make-up, ha ha.
since im young i don't want to put make-up on and look like my little sister who just found my moms make-up.
im trying to hide my blemishes and discolored spots
i go to sephora and i don't plan on going anywhere else.
i wear
HD foundation & powder (make-up forever line)
black eye liner (make-up forever line)
black mascara (dior)
concealer (time balm)
and bronzer (bare minerals)
my problems:
my eye liner doesnt last very long
my concealer doesnt last
my foundation makes my skin look fake & looks like im peeling
to sum it all up, my make-up doesnt last and sucks
i really want a good natural and glowy look... can you please help and give me soem make-up tips

First of all, always try youtube tutorials. If you search like "makeup" and "natural" or "blemish" or "cover" im sure youll find some great videos.
For the eyeliner, try using "SHADOW BASE." It's a liquid or cream that comes in a twist-up pencil, a tube, or a tub. It's nude color; you put it on under eye makeup and it keeps your makeup on ALL DAY, especially if you have slightly greasy skin. I use Lancome shadow base- it's around $20-ish, but if you can afford it, it's worth it.
Also, DO NOT TOUCH YOUR EYEBROWS. The "chola" style that lots of ladies wear is NOT HOT, and it will make you look old and haggard.
For a less severe, but more interesting/young makeup look, try liner in colors other than black. Having the shadow base will allow you to use less expensive, drugstore liners that would otherwise be smudgy. You can use evergreen liner, plum, deep blue, etc. for a more interesting look. Then, use a lighter color in your inner corners to open up your eyes and put a slightly darker eyeshadow in the other corners/creases for depth. Just don't use too many colors at once, or anything too bright/crazy.
Also, it depends on how bad your blemishes are, but sometimes trying to "cover" them makes them look more noticeable. Usually the best you can do with makeup is take away the redness by neutralizing the color, but you'll still be able to see something of the blemish. Taking away the redness, though, with a good concealer, is more than half the battle. When you stop trying to totally "COVER" the blemishes, you'll probably stop looking "peely."
For a glowing look, benefit has a line of 2 shades of this shimmer liquid. It comes in a big bottle with a nailpolish-like brush, and it gives you that dewy, shimmery cheek look that celebrities always have. But beware: if you have nautrally greasy skin, this may make you look more "shiny" (in a bad way).
One important thing for having nice skin is to WEAR LESS FACE MAKEUP! I wear mostly just lots of eyemakeup and usually no face makeup-- maybe blush or that Benefit thing. You're right to want to minimize your blemishes, but don't wear any foundation or other face makeup if you do not NEED it. Try to keep the foundation use down to special occasions, if possible. Always wash your makeup off at night-- you can use baby tear-free shampoo.
FINALLY, if you are really bothered by all this makeup stuff and none of the suggestions so far have helped, consider paying for a "makeup session" with a professional makeup-artist (like someone from your local salon who does makeup for weddings) and who knows how to explain her methods. A good teacher will help you learn how to apply the stuff so that it looks right on your face. Choose someone whose work you've seen, or ask around for some leads. You're right to care about how you look; don't let anyone tell you that you're being superficial or worrying about the wrong things. But do keep in mind that MANY other teenagers have blemishes and to some extent, so don't beat yourself up over it.
