Eye Makeup For Any Color Palette & Style

I have medium/golden skin (most foundations don't match and look TOO pinkish or reddish.) I do "fake bake" or use self tanners occasionally, and tan very easily. But my problem is my face does not hold a tan, and is much lighter than the rest of me.

I want a color that doesnt look fake/orange, but at the same time, gives me some color to match the rest of my skin. I'm debating between medium and tan.

I feel like I could go either way. But I'm worried that medium will still be too light or the tan will look orange/too dark.
