Having done dancing and other performances, as well as wearing make-up on a day-to-day basis i would like to tell you the basic items you will need to make a make up kit.
you need a foundation (base) - this can be either liquid or it can be a mineral powder.
you need a powder which will prevent your skin being shiny
you can also purchase a bronzer with will give you a natural glow
you need eyeliner - i prefer pencil eyeliner but liquid eyeliner is also really good.
if you are going to buy mascara just buy waterproof because it is better than normal mascara.
i very rarely wear eye shadow on a daily basis but try and get a compact with a variety of natural colours that can be used no matter what colour your outfit.
blush/ rouge is also good, but no necessary on a daily basis. if you are on a budget, bronzer can be used instead.
as for lips i like simple lip-gloss like lancome juicy tubes.
as important as the make-up itself, is the products you use to remove it because there is nothing worse than panda eyes in the morning.
my tip is to get fewer products but to get good brands - quality vs quantity. i like Christian Dior personally.
