Mix Your Clothing Colors With Confidence
Take a close look at your hair color. Is it golden blonde or light warm brown? Does your skin have golden undertones and maybe a few freckles as well? Are your eyes soft brown or soft hazel?
Put some fabric of orchid and peach below your chin and then sea green and olive. You should be able to know your best shade of pink is peach while olive tones will suit your better than cooler blue based sea greens. Your secondary characteristic is warm. You will notice that all your additional colors have a warmth to them.
As a soft and warm, you can now add these 12 extra shades to your master palette. Mix darker colors with a similar color but one or two tones lighter. Wear light charcoal with moss, chocolate with golden brown, or light navy with salmon.
Due to your soft coloring, you need to be complemented with soft, muted tones makeup. For eye pencils try moss, brown or coffee. Use khaki, grayed green or brown as accent for your eye shadows as these colors will blend perfectly with peach, fawn or toffee. Your blusher will need to be soft and warm. Soft lip pencils are best for you therefore use spice or natural.
As for your hair which is dark blonde or light to medium brown, you can highlight them. Keep the colors warm and golden. A mix of hair colors will also work well for you and add some rich warm gold or copper tones to enhance the richness of the color.
When natural gray highlights appear, just carry on adding the highlights or lowlights as you have been doing. You can go golden but if you change your hair color completely, your dominant coloring will change too.
Think of rose brown tone. This is perfect for someone who is in this category. A little bad news here for you. Black is not your best color but you can still wear black and looking good in them.
How to wear Black?
Black is quite a deep shade for you as lighter colors suit you better. Always wear black away from your face and choose fabrics that are textured or soft to the touch, such as knits. Details such as frills, velvet or chiffon trims, ribbons and bows will all help to soften the look. Keep your makeup colors soft and warm and do not be tempted to go too dark with your eye shadow. A little shimmer on the eyelids will give your face a natural lift. Gold jewellery and colored beads will soften the overall effect.
